Discipleship is the process of becoming more like Christ and helping others be more like him, too. There are three main ways we develop as disciples: Grow, Serve, and Go. The opportunities within each area are endless. Your next step depends on where you are in your life as a disciple and what God is calling you to do. We suggest you consider some of the following next steps.

Attend Worship

MissionWay comes together each Sunday at 10:30am for a time of group worship. It is a time to learn more about the word and how it applies to our daily lives. It is also a time to re-energize and prepare for the week ahead.

Start a Reading Plan

We encourage you to read God's Word daily.

It is our desire that you would grow your relationship with God by diving into his word. God's word was written for you, to you. We offer a series of reading plans to help you develop the spiritual habit of reading God's word and seeing its relevance to everyday life.

Here are a few great Bible reading plan options to help you connect with the Bible and engage in daily study:

Read Scripture Download this app on your phone. This plan breaks the Bible up into 16 chapters that walk you through the biblical narrative in one year. Daily reading is 15-20 minutes and includes a Psalm. Each day you come to a new biblical book, you can watch a short animated video about its design and message and what to look for as you read.

Five-Day Bible Reading Schedule (One Year Plan) Download and print a PDF of this plan (not available in a digital format). Many have used this plan to successfully "stay on course" with a Bible-reading program through an entire year. The secret is that you only have to read five times a week, not every day, which allows for time for catch up as needed.

Psalms This is a 30-day scripture reading through Psalms.

The One-Year Bible Gain insights and joy from reading the entire Bible. You can do it in as little as 15 minutes a day with The One Year ® Bible, the world's most popular annual reading Bible. Daily readings from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs will guide you through God's Word.

Join a Community Group

We build authentic community at MissionWay through Community Groups. These groups usually meet in members' homes every other week. A group meeting consists of time to socialize, Bible study, prayer and service. We encourage everyone to be involved in a Community Group.

Give

Part of being a disciple of Christ is to give generously of our resources for the purpose of spreading the gospel. Tithing is a tremendous opportunity to proclaim the gospel, to display compassion, and to affirm God's sufficiency and provision. As people of faith, we give faithfully.

Join a Serving Team

We encourage everyone to join one of MissionWay's internal Serving Teams. As a participant in one of these teams, you have the chance to use your time and talents to serve others within the body of Christ. Take the time to let us know what your skills are and how you'd like to plug into our Serving Teams.

Share the Story

In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us all to go beyond the church walls to serve his people and spread the Gospel. We are told to share His story of redemption.  At MissionWay we want to give you the tools you need to effectively share how God is working in your life. Talk to us to learn helpful ways to share Christ's love.

Join a Missions Team

MissionWay's Missions Teams partner with organizations locally and globally to serve and share the gospel. Sometimes we feel led to help send others or pray for a team. Other times, we feel led to join a team and go. To learn more about MissionWay's Ministry Teams and opportunities to move beyond the walls of the church, visit MissionWorks.
