MISSION STATEMENT
Making disciples of Jesus by bringing the eternal hope and saving power of the Gospel to our community, our city, and our world.
CORE VALUES
At MissionWay, we are guided by four core values:
BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP
We seek to make disciples as instructed by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20. Discipleship involves both evangelism and equipping the saints. This is the first of our core values and is the umbrella for those that follow. Discipleship is the mission of The Church and doesn’t get its power from programs but from the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 1:13; 2:1-2; 4:1-4; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:6-8; Ephesians 4:11-16
PASSIONATE WORSHIP (UPWARD FOCUS)
We seek to make disciples who worship God alone. Worship should be our first response to hearing the Gospel. It is both personal and corporate and involves but is not limited to singing. Worship is more than a song and it isn’t about creating the right environment. It’s about declaring the Truth in word and deed.
Colossians 3:16-17; Psalm 29:2; 115:1; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Ephesians 5:19-20; John 4:23-24
AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY (INWARD FOCUS)
We seek to make disciples who prioritize and value physically gathering with other believers for worship, prayer, the study of the Word, accountability, encouragement, and mutual upbuilding. We want to make disciples who are not only saved by the Gospel but are being transformed by the Gospel in the context of biblical community.
Hebrews 10:19-25; Acts 2:42-47; 1 Corinthians 1:10; 10:16-17; 12:12; 13:1-13; Ephesians 4:1-16; Romans 12:10; James 5:16
SACRIFICIAL SERVICE (OUTWARD FOCUS)
We seek to make disciples who desire to love their neighbors as themselves. We seek to meet the spiritual and physical needs of those around us first in our communities and then to the world. Our world’s greatest need is salvation in Jesus Christ alone, and we will proclaim that in all things as we also seek to meet other physical needs.
