Mike & Sarah Aebi - Serving as SIM/AIM Air missionaries in missions aviation in Nairobi, Kenya. Sarah is a longtime member of MissionWay, whom we commissioned out to serve in aviations missions in Africa. She is a missions pilot and her husband Michi repairs aircraft. They have a precious daughter Hanna.
Sarah & Michi (MIK-EE) raise their own funds to support their mission work through a missions organization called SIM. Many of us here at MissionWay support their ministry. If you would like to be on their mailing list to receive their updates and ways to pray for and support them, click here.
SPRING 2023 MISSION TRIP
We are excited to be serving SIM/AIM Air missionaries Sarah and Michi Aebi and their team in East Africa in March 2023. We are sending a team of 10 people from MissionWay to help with their Spiritual Life Conference in Kenya by leading worship, preaching during their morning sessions, and leading the kids' programming. Please pray for our team as we plan and prepare for this important time of serving those who are taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Learn more about this ministry. GIFT BAGS FOR WOMEN
We are sending a missions team to serve Sarah and Michi’s team in Kenya in March 2023 during their spiritual retreat. One thing we will be doing is hosting a women’s night to serve the women missionaries. We are collecting a few items to fill small gift bags for these ladies who live in difficult places. Some don’t have running water, hot water, an indoor kitchen, or indoor bathroom. They are sacrificing a lot to share the Gospel with unreached people. We are excited to serve them in this small way. Below is a list of the items we are collecting. You can drop those off in the lobby.
Here is a list of what we are collecting to go into the gift bags:
Nail polish - in a variety of colors
Polish removing pads
Nail files and clippers
Hand cream (preferably with SPF)
Dove bars of soap
Lip balm with SPF
One-time facial masks (found in the travel bins at Walmart/Target)
Dove chocolate candy
Updates from Kenya
They welcomed their first child! Hanna Celine Aebi arrived October 3, 2021. She’s almost one!
Since then they’ve both been enjoying the ups and downs and sleepless nights that come with new parenthood.During 2021, Michi spent much of his "free" time in the hangar building up a spare Cessna 206 engine. Last month, we needed to change the engine on one of our 206's, so it was time to put the spare engine to use. This airplane is now working hard, frequently flying throughout South Sudan from our Uganda base.
In May, Michi led an "RMS" (Remote Missionary Support) trip to Daba, Kenya, where the team welded an enclosure around the missionaries' front porch (to keep the monkeys and other small animals out!). RMS trips are 4-6 day trips, flying out to support some of our more rural missionaries through technical projects. In the past, these trips have consisted of projects such as welding, car maintenance, and installing solar power systems.
Prayer Needs
Praise God for the safe and uncomplicated arrival of Hanna and that she is healthy and well!
Praise that they are currently fully funded! (And thank you to MissionWay for your part in that!)
Pray for wisdom and rest for them as new parents and for Hanna that she’ll grow up with a strong foundation of faith.
Pray for AIM AIR. This season continues to be difficult as international travel is still below pre-Covid levels and this has a huge impact on their operations and finances.
